The COVID-19 pandemic has brought tremendous changes in various aspects including the system of education. With this, Department of Education (DepEd), led by Secretary Leonor Magtolis Briones, came up with Alternative Delivery Modes (ADM) to deliver quality education considering the current situation and the safety of the learners. One of these alternative learning delivery modalities include Modular Distance Learning using Self-Learning Modules (SLMs), which will be provided to all the learners on a weekly basis.

Providing SLMs to the learners of Meycauayan was made possible through the overwhelming support poured by the Local Government Unit (LGU) to the Schools Division of Office of City of Meycauayan headed by our City Mayor, Hon. Linabelle Ruth R. Villarica and our very own 4th District Representative, Hon. Henry R. Villarica.

The said support given includes module printing, procurement of learning kits, ICT Infrastructure, procurement of IT Office Equipment, medals, 2500 reams of bond paper and 177,500 notebooks for all the learners of SDO City of Meycauayan. The LGU allotted P100 million reprogrammed School Education Fund (SEF) in support to DepEd’s Basic Education-Learning Continuity Plan (BE-LCP).

Our heartfelt thanks to the untiring support and excellent governance of our Local Government Unit led by our very hardworking and dedicated City Mayor, Hon. Linabelle Ruth R. Villarica! Because of their support, indeed, quality education is assured to continue and be given to the learners of the City of Meycauayan.
