Reynaldo DC. Del Rosario MaEd
MNHS Music Teacher
Praise ye the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power. Praise Him for his mighty acts: praise him according to His excellent greatness. Praise Him with the sound of trumpet: praise Him with the psaltery and harp. Praise Him with the timbrel and dance: praise Him with stringed instruments and organs. Praise Him upon the loud cymbals: praise Him upon the high sounding cymbals. Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord. (Psalms 150:1-6)
Indeed, whether in heaven or in earth, there is Music. As stated in Psalms 150: 1-6, part of praising God is the use of musical instruments. I am very blessed and grateful because of the knowledge from the God almighty. He has given me musical intelligence to learn how to read musical notes and play musical instruments.
I finished my secondary schooling in a private school with full scholarship grant by being a member of a Marching Band. Then I entered college and received a five-year full scholarship grant through membership in the College Band. Through Music, I was able to finish my studies from secondary to tertiary level.
I decided to become an educator and through my knowledge in music, I become a licensed teacher. Now I am teaching Music, Arts, Physical Education and Health (MAPEH) at Meycauayan National High School.
Being a teacher especially a Music teacher is very challenging because music is a broad subject and it is correlated to other academic subjects like History and Mathematics. Music is part of our daily lives. Music is part of our tradition and culture. As they say, “Without Music, Life would be flat.”
Thanks be to God. Thank you for the Music. Let us filled our lives with Music. Let us praise God through Music. To God Be the Glory.
